DESSAA was established to standardize the practice of outdoor advertising in Delta State. Our primary directive is to regulate outdoor advertising, ensure safety compliance, and maintain urban aesthetics across all local government areas.
Operated under the legal framework of the Delta State Outdoor Advertising and Signage Law.
Primary Functions
Regulate Advertising
Standardizing the placement and size of all outdoor advertisement structures for uniformity.
Issue Permits
Administering licenses and permits for all commercial signage and corporate branding assets.
Enforcement Operations
DESSAA enforces compliance through notices, penalties, and removal of illegal structures.
Revenue Management
The agency oversees billing, fee collection, and financial reporting related to advertising permits, tariffs, and penalties.
Data & Asset Management
DESSAA maintains a centralized database of all advertising assets, including their location, status, ownership, and compliance history.
Public Engagement & Transparency
DESSAA enables asset verification, illegal signage reporting, and information access, promoting transparency & public participation.
