Delta Tightens Enforcement of Outdoor Advertising Regulations
Delta Begins Fresh Enforcement of Outdoor Advertising Regulations
The Delta State Government has commenced a renewed enforcement campaign aimed at ensuring compliance with regulations guiding outdoor advertising operations across the state.
The exercise, which is being coordinated through the Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency (DESSAA), is intended to strengthen regulatory oversight and improve adherence to standards within the outdoor advertising industry.
Authorities said operators are expected to comply with existing requirements, including proper identification of advertising structures and submission of relevant operational documentation where necessary.
According to the government, the move forms part of wider efforts to maintain order in the outdoor advertising space and ensure that billboard installations and related structures meet approved regulatory conditions.
Officials also stated that compliance measures would support better monitoring of advertising activities and help address issues associated with unauthorized or improperly documented outdoor installations.
Industry operators have been advised to regularize their status and cooperate with the agency during the enforcement period.
The government indicated that regulatory action could be taken against installations or operators found to be in violation of applicable rules.
Outdoor advertising remains a regulated sector in Delta State, with DESSAA responsible for supervising signage, billboard placement and compliance matters across designated locations.
Further details on implementation procedures and timelines are expected to be communicated through official government channels.
